...in the food drive!Just in case you're not able to bring items to our collection bin by Wednesday, there are still some easy and meaningful ways to support the food drive from wherever you are. Provisions keeps an Amazon Wish List stocked with the items they most need, and anything you purchase is shipped straight to them. It’s an easy way to make sure your contribution lands exactly where it’s needed. They also accept online donations through their website. Monetary gifts are incredibly helpful because they can stretch every dollar into nutritious food and essential supplies for local families. And of course, if you are bringing items in person, I’ll be collecting everything at Wednesday’s class. Whether you’re clicking, shipping, donating, or dropping off, thank you for helping us make a meaningful ripple this season. ...in the festivities! And speaking of making meaningful ripples… here’s an invitation to something a little lighter and a lot of fun. Next Wednesday, we’re gathering for Flow & Feast: yoga at 5:30 pm in Spring Creek Garden Center’s new event space, followed by happy hour at The Desert Spoon right across the yard. I did a practice run last week (because every good event deserves a rehearsal), and I can officially confirm that the shareables are 50% off and the margaritas are five dollars😵. The new space feels just right, the grounds upgrades are beautiful, and the sunset on the back porch is a whole vibe. Truly the perfect transition into the season. Join me for class, and if you’d like a seat at the Hand Craft Yoga happy hour table, please let me know. I’d love to set a place for you! ...in Winnie's Book Club!We chose our next book because we wanted to celebrate the holidays and our 2-year anniversary with a little book-to-movie field trip. Yes, we’re taking Snack & Chat on the road! So, if you’ve been waiting to read a book that's just been turned into a movie, so you can read it and then go see it on the big screen: now is the moment to join the club! Our new pick is "Hamnet" by Maggie O’Farrell. For now: read the book! Our next meeting will be on Thursday, December 18. Time and location to be announced. ...in no class on 11/26Just a quick heads-up that we won’t have class on Wednesday, November 26. It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and I hope the midweek pause gives you a little extra room for travel, prep, rest, or simply catching your breath before the swirl begins. Speaking of the swirl... thanks for shimmy-ing through it with me! With love, Monica |
We're back at Spring Creek Garden Center! In case you missed the announcement, you're invited to join me next Wednesday, November 19, at one of my favorite places in Spring Branch for Flow & Feast (the seasonal rebrand of Happy Hour Yoga, lol). We’ll break in the new event space with an all-levels yoga class from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, then enjoy an elevated happy hour at their new on-site restaurant, The Desert Spoon! It’s the kind of evening that hits all the right spots: nature, breath,...
For my happy hour friends! Spring Creek Garden Center has officially finished their brand-new event room and we are going to hand craft yoga there on Wednesday, November 19! Use one of your passes and join me from 5:30 to 6:30 pm for an all-levels class. Click the button to RSVP for yoga: Count me in for 11/19! Their new restaurant, The Desert Spoon, is now open just across the garden path, and they have happy hour specials until 8 pm (on Wednesdays and Thursdays). So here’s what I'm...
I have 2 too many comics like this saved to my computer: Happy Halloween week! Here I am with my brother, Marco, in 1996(ish?). I remember loving this costume. I thought rodeo clowns were hilarious. Shout out to mom for the awesome handcrafted costumes! Don't trick yourself! Just a reminder: Daylight Saving Time ends on this coming Sunday, Nov 2. We “fall back” one hour at 2 am... so enjoy that extra sleep and double-check your clocks before class on Monday! Not this Saturday, but next: Mark...
