Flow & Feast, anyone?

We're back at Spring Creek Garden Center!

In case you missed the announcement, you're invited to join me next Wednesday, November 19, at one of my favorite places in Spring Branch for Flow & Feast (the seasonal rebrand of Happy Hour Yoga, lol). We’ll break in the new event space with an all-levels yoga class from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, then enjoy an elevated happy hour at their new on-site restaurant, The Desert Spoon! It’s the kind of evening that hits all the right spots: nature, breath, community, and a really good snack situation.

If you'd like a seat at the Hand Craft Yoga happy hour table, please email me at handcraftyoga@gmail.com -- and use this address going forward. My old inbox is still behaving like a haunted house, and I don’t want to miss anything from you. To RSVP for class, click the button below:

'tis the Season

We’re kicking off our annual food drive to support Provision Outreach (Bulverde Food Pantry) this week! You’ll have three class chances to bring physical goods or checks to Trilogy: tomorrow, Wednesday, November 12, Monday, November 17, and Wednesday, November 19.

If you don't want to haul physical goods around, the food bank greatly appreciates monetary donations! They say that every dollar donated helps stretch their purchasing power, allowing them to secure nutritious food and essential supplies for families in need. To learn more about the people and mission at Provisions, click here. Thank you for any contributions; every bit of support is greatly appreciated.

Speaking of support

Come find us this Saturday, 11/15, at Rainbow Gardens (off Thousand Oaks) for the Sprout’n About SA Farmer’s Market. Jordan and I will be there with 46 Farms from 10am to 2pm! We launched several new products last month, so if you’re into local, handcrafted skincare, pop over and support the land of beef and honey. It’s the perfect excuse to stroll, sniff, sample, and support small makers.

Winnie's Book Club turns 2!!

Our official Snack and Chat is happening this week, and this one feels extra special 🎉 It marks our two-year anniversary of gathering, snacking, chatting, and somehow managing to discuss the actual book! I'm really grateful for this circle.

And I want to give a special thank you shout-out to Mandy: our unofficial, self-appointed, snack czar. Without you, I would still just be thinking about starting a book club.🥹

This week, we’ll be talking all things The Briar Club, including the supper club from the book... so yes, our snack club is officially discussing someone else’s supper club, which feels very on brand. If you missed last week’s sign-up link, you can still claim your snack contribution. And if you’re coming without a snack, you’re still welcome! Just RSVP so our host knows how many chairs to set out:

I’m smiling as I proofread this back. Maybe you already noticed... my total "snack"-related word count is about to be ten. I'm sorry for that. But, thank you for continuing to show up for the yoga, the books, the markets, and, of course, the snacks.

With love,

Monica

For my happy hour friends! Spring Creek Garden Center has officially finished their brand-new event room and we are going to hand craft yoga there on Wednesday, November 19! Use one of your passes and join me from 5:30 to 6:30 pm for an all-levels class. Click the button to RSVP for yoga: Count me in for 11/19! Their new restaurant, The Desert Spoon, is now open just across the garden path, and they have happy hour specials until 8 pm (on Wednesdays and Thursdays). So here’s what I'm...

I have 2 too many comics like this saved to my computer: Happy Halloween week! Here I am with my brother, Marco, in 1996(ish?). I remember loving this costume. I thought rodeo clowns were hilarious. Shout out to mom for the awesome handcrafted costumes! Don't trick yourself! Just a reminder: Daylight Saving Time ends on this coming Sunday, Nov 2. We “fall back” one hour at 2 am... so enjoy that extra sleep and double-check your clocks before class on Monday! Not this Saturday, but next: Mark...

And a little gratitude... This week, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for showing up to class, for rolling out your mat even when life feels full, and for flowing with me when I have to shift the schedule (reminder: no class next week!). Your flexibility, in every sense of the word, means the world to me. And since gratitude always pairs well with something sweet, I wanted to share a treat that’s been on my mind for weeks now. My friend Chef Sally (you know her, you love her) and I...
