This week has options!

Two chances to practice 4/8

In addition to our regularly scheduled Wednesday Noon class (at Trilogy Hill Country), we are back for happy hour yoga this week at Spring Creek Garden Center from 5:30 to 6:30 pm!

And the best part: I just got word that The Desert Spoon rolled out a brand new spring menu 👀

So if you need a little midweek reset... this is your sign. Move your body, take a breath, and then stay after for a drink or a bite and check out what’s new. Happy hour specials run until 7.

Average Joes: UNITE!

I am on a mission to normalize singing just for fun. I have never been in a choir. I have never had vocal training. If I sound good, it's not exactly on purpose🤣

But I LOVE singing with people.

Does this resonate with you? Do you like to sing? If so, join me this week for a no-pressure, low-stakes, completely free and very fun singalong situation.

All are welcome. No skills required. Just a willingness to show up on Thursday, 4/9, from Noon to 1 pm at St. Nicholas Church in downtown Bulverde.

It's almost time to party

We are officially three weeks away from the Staycation mini-retreat! The menu is coming together. The schedule is set. The little surprises are in motion.

I built a container with all my favorite things: part yoga retreat, part creative playground, part adult summer camp... now I just can’t help but wonder who else is going to be there🥳

There are still a couple of spots left for the full staycation experience, and a couple commuter passes if you want to join us without staying overnight.

If you missed the details last week, the commuter option includes:
• Ice dye workshop, parts 1 and 2
• Dinner both evenings
• Thursday night yoga nidra
• A curated goody bag

If this is speaking to you, or if someone came to mind while reading this, you’re welcome to pass it along. Click the invite below to get all the details:

A little favor

Do you happen to have an old smartphone sitting in a drawer somewhere?

I’m creating a guided meditation/journaling experience for an upcoming wellness event and am searching for a few devices to set up listening stations. They don’t need service, just the ability to hold and play a recording.

If you have something that could work and you’d be willing to loan it for a few days, I would be so grateful! You can reply here or let me know in class.

Thank you for being part of this community. And officially: Happy April!

With love,

Monica

They say trying new things is good for us It builds resilience, confidence, and reminds us that we can do things that feel unfamiliar (even uncomfortable) and be just fine. So last week, I tested this theory. I joined my sister-in-law for something she has been wanting to try: a trapeze class. If you were in class on Wednesday, you already know how that went... I was so sore, and yes, I complained about it quite a bit 😄 But even with all of that discomfort, it truly was a great experience. It...

Yoga for your home (yes, really) You've probably heard me say this in class: no judgment, no expectation, no comparison. But that doesn’t just apply on the mat. It very much applies to our homes, too. Let’s be real: we all have that spot (or maybe a few 😅). It could be a drawer, a closet, half a room, the whole dang garage... a space that makes you go ughhhh every time you see it. And usually it’s not that we don’t care... it’s just that it feels like a lot. So we work around it, close the...

Today feels a little special to me Thirteen years ago, on March 17, 2013, I received my certificate from my very first 200-hour yoga teacher training. Over the past thirteen years, being a teacher has brought countless classes, conversations, new friendships, retreats, and a community that continues to grow in ways I’m so grateful for. I’ve had the privilege of learning from incredible teachers, refining my craft, and sharing my practice with so many of you. So it feels especially fitting,...
