This is your brain 🧠

This is your brain...on yoga:

Go ahead and screenshot this πŸ‘‡ so you can get in there to read all those little words when you have a moment.

The gist of it is that yoga activates our whole brain! This is one of the *many* reasons it is so beneficial. Each practice is like a little reset for the body. Through yoga, the brain can find union and create synergy across its different sections. No wonder it feels so good!

Isn't it fascinating? πŸ€“

She's a brainiac, brainiac...

If you answered "Yes!" when I asked, "Isn't it fascinating?" a second ago, may I please recommend you read "Whole Brain Living" by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. You still have time to read it before Winnie's Book Club meeting next Thursday, April 3rd!

Can you join us from Noon to 1:45 pm to snack and chat? If so, would you like to bring some brain food 😏 to help motivate our discussion about the book? Please click the link below to let us know what you'd like to bring:

Thank you for being so flexible πŸ™„

Last week, I had to cancel Laughter Yoga on short notice due to an unexpected visit to the vet with Winnie. Today (Mon 3/24), she had an unexpected surgery and is now sporting 7 lovely stitches!

To keep a very long story short, we still don't know exactly what it is. Her salivary gland may be very infected, a brown recluse spider might have bitten her, or maybe something else. We will know more in the next few days when we hear back from the lab.

Being there for Winnie is very important to me. Thank you again for your flexibility and understanding as I nurse our sweet mascot back to good health!

Mark your calendars:

*Just a reminder, there will be no classes this coming Monday, March 31st, or Tuesday, April 1st.

*The Laughter Yoga class has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 9, from 1:15 to 2 pm.

*Our once-a-month Saturday Yoga+Sound Bath combo will be on April 12th! If you want to float through the sound bath in one of our aerial hammocks, please feel free to reserve your spot by replying to this email. There are only four spots left!

Thank you again for the community support. I look forward to seeing you soon!

With love,

Monica

Don't be mad!😜With love, Monica

Change is in the air! Out of the cold darkness of winter, alas, we emerge into the fresh buzz of spring with the equinox on Thursday. This seasonal shift also brings an energetic shift, causing us to feel an inkling to grow and develop new things. To help us celebrate the spring equinox and champion its transformative energy, I've created a guidebook! The "Spring into Action" ebook provides an inspiring framework to nourish and activate your efforts to bring a new idea to life. Are you ready...

Time to search for lizards Have you noticed Drishti? Drishti is the name of our yard peacock. He was given to our space by one of my first yoga students when she moved away. We named him Drishti because he is quite the focal point. His name is Sanskrit for "focused gaze", which is a way to help concentrate our intention. Have fun with this throwback...see if you can find 2 lizards in the picture below: Mark your calendar There will be no classes on Monday, March 31st, or Tuesday, April 1st. I...
