Change is in the air!Out of the cold darkness of winter, alas, we emerge into the fresh buzz of spring with the equinox on Thursday. This seasonal shift also brings an energetic shift, causing us to feel an inkling to grow and develop new things. To help us celebrate the spring equinox and champion its transformative energy, I've created a guidebook! The "Spring into Action" ebook provides an inspiring framework to nourish and activate your efforts to bring a new idea to life. Are you ready to crack open your seed wall and bust up out of the soil? Click the hyperlink below to download the FREE guide: >>>Spring into action guidebook<<< Sneak a peek at the cover below. Click the link above to download the ebook! Spoiler Alert! The first section of the guidebook is all about finding space. The inside of our seed can be tight, and we might feel like we don't have any wiggle room to E X P A N D. One of the best ways to aerate our lives is to learn how to breathe deeply. I have said it before and'll say it again: It's all about the breath! One of the most valuable tools for using your breath(prana) during posture(asana) practice is a breath control technique (pranayama) called Ujjayi breath (also known as Victorious breath, Sound breath, Ocean breath, Darth Vader breath). You've heard me describe and encourage this technique during our classes. But often, things land differently when we read them. So, I made you a cheat sheet...give it a try! It's time for a new spotlight!!I'm excited to introduce you to our March Student Spotlight...Sue H! Getting to know her through classes and the retreat has been so fun. And I'm so impressed with her dedication to practice post-wrist injury! Read on for her thoughtful insights: What is your favorite part of yoga? My favorite part of Yoga is how I feel after class. This is your brain...on yoga: Go ahead and screenshot this 👇 so you can get in there to read all those little words when you have a moment. The gist of it is that yoga activates our whole brain! This is one of the *many* reasons it is so beneficial. Each practice is like a little reset for the body. Through yoga, the brain can find union and create synergy across its different sections. No wonder it feels so good! Isn't it fascinating? 🤓 She's a brainiac, brainiac... If you answered "Yes!"...
Time to search for lizards Have you noticed Drishti? Drishti is the name of our yard peacock. He was given to our space by one of my first yoga students when she moved away. Have fun with this throwback...see if you can find 2 lizards in the picture below: Mark your calendar There will be no classes on Monday, March 31st, or Tuesday, April 1st. I...
