Have a great fall🍂

Humpty Dumpty has the right idea!

A nice walk in nature, carving a pumpkin, reading fireside, and picking seasonal fruit definitely puts me back together again!

Jokes aside... hello fall!

Yesterday we welcomed the autumnal equinox, the official beginning of fall and a time when day and night rest in perfect balance. It's a seasonal shift that invites us to pause, notice the turning of the year, and feel into our own balance between light and dark, energy and rest, effort and ease.

The equinox is also nature's reminder of transition. As trees pull their energy back into the trunk for the winter, their leaves turn brilliant colors before letting go. In the same way, we can draw our energy inward, release what no longer serves us, and make space to enjoy the harvest of what we've tended this summer.

It's a lot like yoga...(surprise, surprise)

If you were in class yesterday, you got a little taste of how fall is shaping our practice. We explored playful sequencing that gave you permission to wobble, topple, and laugh… because falling is part of growth. This season, expect more of that: postures that encourage balance, curiosity, and the reminder that strength comes from rising again.

But remember, this season is all about balance. Alongside the play, we'll also lean into grounding practices, slower rhythms, and deeper breaths. Just as the air turns crisp and the days shorten, we can shift our practice toward steadiness, presence, and...

...more Farmer's Markets!

If you're anything like me, you know that a farmer's market is the perfect way to celebrate the season's abundance.

And lucky us, there's one this Saturday! Bulverde Market Day happens every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm. It's located nearly right across the street from where we practice yoga in downtown Bulverde (2545 Bulverde Road).

And mark your calendar for October 4 to visit me and Jordan(of 46 Farms) at Sprout'n About SA! We had a great time at their opening market at Rainbow Gardens(off Thousand Oaks) last weekend, and will be back with the tallow table on the first Saturday of the month.

A Winnie moment...

To celebrate the last day of summer, Winnie took a dip in the river, then found the perfect sun-warmed rock for a nap surrounded by water. Pure bliss!

May we all take a cue from her and find rest in the in-between… savoring both the warmth behind us and the new season ahead.

With love,

Monica

P.S. They say all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t fix Humpty… but did they try yoga?

It's nearly time To snack and chat with Winnie’s Book Club! Our official meeting is coming up next Thursday, October 9, from 12 to 2 pm! We’ve been diving into In the Woods by Tana French, and I can’t wait to hear everyone’s thoughts. This month we will gather at one of our members’ homes, located in the neighborhood just behind the Fischer Market and QT. As always, we like to emphasize the snack part of the "snack & chat". So if you’d like to contribute to that spread, click the button below...

A story from the hot studio Yesterday, I found myself in a crowded hot yoga class. Just behind me was a woman with her teenage daughter. Throughout the class I noticed little bursts of giggles between them… the daughter rolling her eyes dramatically as her mom toughed it out. I couldn’t help but smile, because that was me in 2004, sitting next to my own mom in a hot yoga studio in San Antonio. After class, I bumped into them again and felt compelled to share my story. I told them that hot...
