TGIDI cannot believe we are already stepping into the very last month of the year. I saw somewhere that December is like the Friday of the year, and honestly… I feel that. There is this playfulness, a softening around the edges, and an invitation to have a deep exhale. With that in mind, I want to share a quick update about our schedule for the end of the year. There will be no "regular schedule" classes on December 22, 24, 29, or 31 (the last 2 weeks of the year). But I am excited to offer something special in their place! On Monday, December 22, and Monday, December 29, I will be offering two mini-retreat style classes. It will be a blend of fun flow, slow stretch, reflection, and deep rest, all sprinkled with that feeling of being in the right place at the right time. Take this chance to reset, reconnect, and let your whole system soften before we step into a new year. More details and RSVP links are coming soon, but I wanted you to save the dates now. While you have your calendar out!Just a few reminders about our upcoming fun: This Saturday, December 6, enjoy Yoga with me at 9:30 am, followed by a Sound Bath Experience with Cherie at 10:30 am. Come for one or stay for both! A perfect pause before the holiday busyness begins. Let me know you're coming to yoga by clicking below:
If you're staying for the sound bath, we highly recommend you bring extra pillows and blankets for maximum comfort and warmth. Save your spot by clicking the button below:
I'm so excited for our next round of Flow & Feast on Wednesday, December 10, at Spring Creek Garden Center! Come for an all-levels yoga class from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in their brand new Gathering Haus. You can RSVP for yoga at the garden by clicking the button below.
After class, you are welcome to mosey over to The Desert Spoon, their beautiful new on-site restaurant. They have a great menu and happy hour specials, so you can sip something small, stay for a feast, or pop in just to say hi. No expectations. Follow whatever feels good that evening. If you want to join me at the Hand Craft Yoga table, just let me know. I will happily save you a seat. Last but not leastWe have a very special birthday in the house this week! Our one and only mascot, Winnie the Poodle, turns 15 this Friday, December 5. She has had a bit of a ruff year, but she continues to amaze me with her resilient spirit and steady strength. I know our yoga classes do not feel quite the same without her, but I am so grateful that she got to join us as Teacher's Pet for as long as she did. Now that she's retired, she has even more time to take long naps with loud snores, snuggle mama, and lie in the sunshine. Happy Birthday to my sweet girl! Sending you warmth, good cheer, and that Friday-of-the-year feeling. Happy December! With love, |
But first things first As we ease into Thanksgiving week, I want to take a big breath with you: the kind that softens the shoulders, unclenches the jaw, and reminds us that gratitude isn’t just a holiday theme… It’s a practice. Like yoga, gratitude becomes a practice when we turn our attention toward it with intention. It is a practice of noticing what is already supporting us, instead of what we think is missing. Sometimes it is as simple as pausing to name one thing that feels good,...
...in the food drive! Just in case you're not able to bring items to our collection bin by Wednesday, there are still some easy and meaningful ways to support the food drive from wherever you are. Provisions keeps an Amazon Wish List stocked with the items they most need, and anything you purchase is shipped straight to them. It’s an easy way to make sure your contribution lands exactly where it’s needed. They also accept online donations through their website. Monetary gifts are incredibly...
We're back at Spring Creek Garden Center! In case you missed the announcement, you're invited to join me next Wednesday, November 19, at one of my favorite places in Spring Branch for Flow & Feast (the seasonal rebrand of Happy Hour Yoga, lol). We’ll break in the new event space with an all-levels yoga class from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, then enjoy an elevated happy hour at their new on-site restaurant, The Desert Spoon! It’s the kind of evening that hits all the right spots: nature, breath,...
