Hear me out:Even though I played basketball in high school, I'm not much of a sports fan. I don't follow teams during the regular season. I don't know very many player names, and I certainly don't know any stats. What I do know is how it feels to watch people perform at the highest level of their craft. There is a palpable synergy that happens when preparation meets presence, and I can't help but be drawn to it. There's something inspiring about watching years of practice, discipline, trust, and teamwork come together in real time. During the NBA Finals, I found myself appreciating not just the skill on display, but the presence. To play at that level, you can't be worrying about the last play or the next one. You have to be completely engaged in what's happening right now. You may not be surprised to hear that it reminds me of what we practice in yoga: connecting breath, body, attention, effort, and ease. When those elements begin working together, we find a kind of internal synergy. It isn't about the last pose, or the pose we're about to do on the second side. It's about the one we're in. I'd venture to say that's true on the court, on the mat, and even in our daily lives. Maybe that's why I enjoyed the Finals so much. I wasn't watching for the outcome, I was watching for the synergy.✨ On a completely related note🎵While the internet was serving me basketball content last week, I stumbled across an interview where Spurs players were asked who the best singer on the team was. One player's response immediately made me think of our Singing Club, so I took a screenshot for you: Honestly, that's kind of our philosophy too. No auditions. No solos. No pressure to sound good. Just a willingness to show up and sing. If that sounds like your kind of thing, join us Thursday, June 25, from Noon to 1 pm for an hour of music, laughter, and community. It's free, it's fun, and it's officially Luke Kornet endorsed.😜
Aqua Yoga: Rain Check!Due to today's rainy morning forecast, we're taking a rain check on the Aqua Yoga class and moving it to next Tuesday, June 23. Our June 23 location is a chlorinated pool right off Canyon Golf and Borgfeld. If you've been curious about practicing yoga in the water and are willing to try something a little different, sign yourself up with the button below:

They say that 80% of the game is willingness... not just to sing, but to show up in the first place. Here's to finding something worth showing up for! With love, Monica (reply to me HERE) |

Pool noodles are yoga props now Have you heard of Aqua Yoga? If you've been practicing with me for a while, you may remember Aqua Yoga classes from years past. It's been quite some time since I've offered them, and I'm excited to bring them back this summer! One of the things I love most about practicing in the water is that it offers both support and resistance at the same time. The buoyancy of the water can help take pressure off the joints, while the water itself provides gentle resistance...
