And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...We’re back this week, and you have TWO chances to meet me on the mat this Wednesday, September 9! Join me from Noon to 1 pm at Trilogy for our regular all-levels class, or meet me among the plants at 5:30 pm at Spring Creek Garden Center for Happy Hour Yoga. And speaking of Happy Hour...Spring Creek has made some seasonal changes to their menu! You can take a peek at what’s new below. Remember, Happy Hour keeps going until 7 pm with half-off shareables, margaritas, and Old Fashioneds. Come for the yoga, stay for The Desert Spoon (or is it come for The Desert Spoon, stay for the yoga?). 😊
Plot Twist!Winnie’s Book Club is making a tiny change of plans! We’ve pushed our September meeting back by one day, so we’ll now gather on Friday, September 11 from Noon to 2 pm in the Training Room at Mammen Family Public Library to chat about The Serial Killer’s Wife by Alice Hunter. And after all that reading about baking at Poppy’s...I’m already getting excited about our spread. 😂 If you’d like to bring a snack to share with the group, click below and let us know what you’re bringing. Homemade, store-bought, inspired by the book, or not...all are welcome!
Two spots... Two retreats!I am excited to announce that we have two spots open on each of the upcoming retreats! The Midweek Reset at Ottine Mineral Springs is coming up in just a couple of weeks: two nights to slow down, soak, move, eat well, play a little, and make some space for yourself.
And in January, we’re heading to Santa Fe for Wonder, Play & Rest: four nights of adventure, hot springs, yoga, Meow Wolf, a sunrise balloon ride, cozy evenings, and plenty of surprises along the way.
If one of those last spots has your name on it, I’d love to have you along! Plenty of ways to meet me along the way...Between yoga, club meetings, and special events, we’ve got plenty of opportunities to gather over the next few weeks! I’ve rounded up everything happening through October 2 below so you can take a peek, save some dates, and join me wherever it sounds good. 😊 Whether it’s a class, a club, or a whole weekend away...I hope our paths cross soon. As always, feel free to reach out...I love hearing from you! With love, Monica (reply to me HERE) |
There's no place like home...practice One of the things I love about yoga is the reminder that the practice doesn't begin when we step onto a mat...or end when we roll it back up. Any time we pause long enough to notice that we're here, bring intention to what we're doing, or simply become aware of our breath, we're engaging with the work of yoga. In that way, you might find yourself "practicing" all day long. That said...sometimes we just gotta get on the mat 🤗 So if you find yourself...
You asked…so we’re doing it! Last week, I shared an idea for a new class and asked what you thought. Well…enough of you said you’d like to “level up” your practice that we’re going to give it a go! The new Wednesday class will give us an opportunity to explore stronger flows, more complex postures, strength, balance, and subtle work. Sometimes we’ll move faster. Sometimes we’ll slow waaaay down. Sometimes we’ll take something seemingly simple and find a way to make it surprisingly...
I’m thinking about adding something new to the schedule… Recently, one of you asked if I’d consider offering a more challenging weekly class. Right now, all of my classes are “all levels,” which I love because it allows the practice to meet whoever happens to walk through the door that day. But it can also mean that the pace and intensity vary quite a bit from week to week. So, I’m imagining a practice for students who want to turn things up a notch. Some weeks, that might mean a stronger or...
