Yoga, wherever you are...

There's no place like home...practice

One of the things I love about yoga is the reminder that the practice doesn't begin when we step onto a mat...or end when we roll it back up.

Any time we pause long enough to notice that we're here, bring intention to what we're doing, or simply become aware of our breath, we're engaging with the work of yoga. In that way, you might find yourself "practicing" all day long.

That said...sometimes we just gotta get on the mat 🤗

So if you find yourself wanting a little movement (and someone to guide you through it), unroll your mat, click below, and I'll meet you there for this one-hour home practice:

When I get back...

We'll jump right in with TWO chances to practice together on Wednesday, September 9:

Noon - 1 pm | All-Levels Yoga at Trilogy Hill Country

and

5:30 - 6:30 pm | Happy Hour Yoga at Spring Creek Garden Center

Come to one...or make it a double-header and join me for both!

But maybe you really DO want to practice all day long🤔

I just told you that you don't need to spend all day on a yoga mat to practice yoga. But...maybe you want to?

If you've been craving an opportunity to step away from everyday life and really immerse yourself in the study and practice of yoga, the Texas Yoga Retreat might be exactly what you're looking for.

The retreats I host are more like really great vacations that we happen to do yoga on😜...we explore, play, rest, try new things, and yes, we roll out our mats along the way. There’s intention woven into all of it, with opportunities to slow down, be present, and experience where we are a little more fully.

The Texas Yoga Retreat is different. This one is YOGA yoga😂

It's a full weekend (Oct 16-18) devoted to practice, workshops, study, community, and learning from teachers across a wide range of traditions and specialties. If you've been looking for an immersion-style getaway to deepen your practice and your understanding of yoga, I highly recommend it.

I'm an ambassador for the retreat and I'll be there for the weekend, but I will not be teaching. I get to be a student right alongside you...attending sessions, learning, practicing, and soaking it all in.

You can explore the schedule, accommodations, and registration details by clicking the button below. Reach out if you have any questions...I’m happy to share what I know! And if you're ready to sign up, be sure to use my code MONICA when you register to receive 10% off!

But maybe you really DO want a yoga vacation 😜

If all that talk about exploring, playing, resting, trying new things, and rolling out our mats along the way sounded more like your speed, there’s still room to come retreat with me!

We have one spot remaining for our September Midweek Reset at Ottine Mineral Springs and three spots remaining for Wonder, Play & Rest in Santa Fe this January.

If you've been thinking about joining me for either one, click below to revisit all the details:

Until then, enjoy your practice...wherever and however it happens this week. And I'll look forward to seeing you back on the mat September 9!

With love,

Monica

You asked…so we’re doing it! Last week, I shared an idea for a new class and asked what you thought. Well…enough of you said you’d like to “level up” your practice that we’re going to give it a go! The new Wednesday class will give us an opportunity to explore stronger flows, more complex postures, strength, balance, and subtle work. Sometimes we’ll move faster. Sometimes we’ll slow waaaay down. Sometimes we’ll take something seemingly simple and find a way to make it surprisingly...

I’m thinking about adding something new to the schedule… Recently, one of you asked if I’d consider offering a more challenging weekly class. Right now, all of my classes are “all levels,” which I love because it allows the practice to meet whoever happens to walk through the door that day. But it can also mean that the pace and intensity vary quite a bit from week to week. So, I’m imagining a practice for students who want to turn things up a notch. Some weeks, that might mean a stronger or...
