I’m thinking about adding something new to the schedule…Recently, one of you asked if I’d consider offering a more challenging weekly class. Right now, all of my classes are “all levels,” which I love because it allows the practice to meet whoever happens to walk through the door that day. But it can also mean that the pace and intensity vary quite a bit from week to week. So, I’m imagining a practice for students who want to turn things up a notch. Some weeks, that might mean a stronger or quicker-paced flow. Other weeks, we might explore more complex postures. And sometimes we’ll make seemingly simple poses surprisingly difficult through breath, attention, longer holds, or more subtle work. As one of my teachers likes to say, we can have a lot of fun “making easy poses hard.” I’m considering adding this class on Wednesdays from 10:30–11:30 am at Trilogy, right before our regular noon class. But before I add it to the calendar, I’d love to know if enough of you would like to join me! I’ve put together a super-short survey to get a feel for who’s in and hear a little about what you’d like to explore. Click the button below to share your input:

10/10 would recommend a screen detox Last week I spent a few days floating the San Marcos River, and I kept catching myself just...staring. Not at my phone, computer, or TV screen. At the water. The trees and plants, in dozens of shades of green. The sunlight reflecting off the river. The textures of bark, limestone, leaves, and clouds. It felt like my eyes were remembering what they were designed to look at. As it turns out, there is some pretty fascinating science behind that feeling....
