Don't miss the Snack & ChatThis Thursday, July 31, we’ll gather for Winnie’s Book Club at the Mammen Public Library from Noon to 1:45 pm to discuss The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn. Wow... this one was a page-turner. I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to hear what parts stayed with you. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, click the button below to let me know you’re coming:
Saturday Reset: August 16Cherie and I will be hosting our next yoga and sound bath session at Trilogy Dance Center on Saturday, August 16th. I’ll be leading an all-levels yoga class at 9:30 am, followed by a sound bath with Cherie starting at 10:30. It’s such a lovely way to begin the weekend: gentle movement, deep rest, and community support all in one morning. Let me know if you're coming to Saturday yoga by clicking the button below:
Mark your calendarsI also want to give you a quick heads-up that there will be no classes on August 25, August 27, September 1, or September 3. I’ll be away during that stretch. But... if there’s enough interest, I’d be happy to offer a Zoom class (or two!) during that window so we can still practice together. If that sounds like something you'd be into, let me know by replying to this email. Since your calendar is already out...Here's something I’m really excited to share: This October 24-26 marks the 25th anniversary of the Texas Yoga Retreat, held just outside of Austin. It will be my third year attending, and each time I go, I come away with new insight, deep rest, and a stronger sense of connection to my practice. I’m honored to support the event as a student and ambassador. I help behind the scenes with weekly newsletters and get to spotlight the incredible presenters who make this gathering so rich. Though I won’t be teaching, I’ll be right there alongside you, soaking it all in. The retreat is designed to meet you where you are, whether you want to explore yoga philosophy, try something totally new, or simply spend a weekend connecting with others. If you’re feeling the pull, I’d love for you to be part of it. When you register using the code "MONICA", you’ll receive 10% off your booking. OR, groups of 3 or more can get 15% off with the code "GRP15OFF" (discounts cannot be combined). You can explore the schedule, accommodations, and details at texasyoga.com. Reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to share what I know! Wishing you a wonderful last week of July! With love, Monica |
It’s time for a spotlight! I’m excited to share Hand Craft Yoga’s Student Spotlight...Julie F! I am inspired by Julie's dedication to practice, even with her demanding commute and work schedule. Please read on for her thoughtful insights: What is your favorite part of yoga?My favorite part of yoga is being in the moment. When I am going through a sequence or holding a pose, I am not thinking about anything else. For a person that is generally anxious, yoga helps me to calm my mind and lets me...
(Except for Trilogy😜) Just a quick reminder that we won’t have class at Trilogy next week. Both Monday, 7/21, and Wednesday, 7/23, sessions are cancelled. That said, we don’t have to stop practicing! If you’re craving movement, breath, or a little time to reset, my Virtual Membership is always open. It includes a library of recorded classes you can use anytime, from anywhere. Whether you’re traveling, staying home, or simply needing flexibility, this is a great way to keep showing up for...
This past weekend has been heartbreaking for so many in the Texas Hill Country. The recent floods left behind heavy losses - lives, homes, histories - and while words can’t fix any of it, sometimes even the smallest act of care can help soften the weight. If you're looking for ways to help, here are a few options you can trust: TEXSAR (Texas Search and Rescue) is accepting donations to support their ongoing recovery work. Kerr County Flood Relief Fund is managed by the Community Foundation of...
