Fun factDid you know that besides being the eighth month in our calendar, august is also an adjective that means respected and impressive? Other definitions even include “majestic dignity” and “grandeur.” I was today (okay, yesterday) years old when I learned this. So yes, you are officially invited to move through the month with majestic dignity. And if you wobble or fall out of Tree Pose along the way, even better. That’s how we strengthen the roots. Winnie picked a good one!For this month's book club, we’ll be reading Party of Liars by Kelsey Cox, a local Texas author whose story unfolds right here in the Hill Country. Expect twists, secrets, and small-town mystery. This might surprise you, but these are a few of Winnie's favorite qualities in a book 😜 And guess what?! You can meet the author in person this week. The Mammen Family Public Library is hosting a book release party on Thursday, August 7 from 2 to 4 pm. It’s a drop-in style celebration with refreshments, giveaways, and a chance to chat with Kelsey Cox herself. Once you’ve got your copy, save the date for our next snack and chat. We’ll be meeting to discuss Party of Liars on Thursday, September 4 from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at Mammen Family Public Library. If you’ve been meaning to join us, this is a great one to jump in on! A reminder about class cancellationsThere will be no in-person yoga classes on August 25, August 27, September 1, or September 3. While I’m away, I’m exploring the idea of offering a Zoom class or two so we can still move and connect virtually. Looking ahead: Yoga + Sound BathNot this weekend but next: Cherie and I will be offering our monthly Saturday morning experience at Trilogy Dance Center.
