I have a few ideasThe first: This Friday, 2/20, we’ll be gathering at Spring Creek Garden Center for an all-levels yoga class from 10:30–11:30am, followed by an optional brunch at The Desert Spoon. This has easily become one of my favorite combinations… move your body, breathe in the greenery, then linger over a nourishing meal and good conversation. 🤌 You’re welcome to use your class pack or drop in for $15. Registration is highly recommended so I know you’re coming and can hold your spot. Here's a link to The Desert Spoon’s menu just in case you're like me and you want to read it thoroughly beforehand. 🤓
Are you free on Saturday?I’m so excited to be part of the upcoming Galentine’s Glam & Glow event hosted by The Beauty Boost this Saturday, 2/21, from 11am–2:30pm. The Beauty Boost collaborative is all about creating spaces where you can discover new offerings, connect with local entrepreneurs, and treat yourself to experiences that support your whole self. This is my first event partnering with them, and there will be more to come throughout this year. Each month’s event has a different theme, but you can generally expect to wander, learn, mingle, sip, shop, and sample a variety of experiences offered by different local business owners (like me!). My offering for this event was inspired by our recent Winnie’s Book Club read, The Correspondent, and centers around connection, reflection, and a little handwritten magic. You can grab tickets by clicking on the flyer below. And if you're still looking for something to do...May I suggest a book? As previously mentioned, Winnie’s Book Club has been reading The Correspondent this month, and it’s been such a delightful read. Our Snack & Chat is next Thursday, 2/26, from noon–2pm at Mammen Public Library. As always, you’re welcome whether you’ve finished the book, barely started it, or just want to come for the snacks and good conversation. If you’re able to join us and would be willing to bring a snack to share, we’d love that. Please click the button below to let us know what you’re bringing so we can coordinate.
I’m so grateful for this community and all the ways we get to gather, move, reflect, connect… and, of course, snack. 😋 I hope to see you soon. With love, |
Love, without the candy hearts With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I’ve been thinking about the kind of love that’s quieter. Less about grand gestures and perfect words, and more about small, consistent choices. Historically, Valentine’s Day traces back to ancient Roman festivals honoring fertility, renewal, and the return of spring. Over time, it became associated with romantic love, devotion, and, somewhere along the way... stuffed animals, giant boxes of chocolate, and those mysteriously...

What we gather, we carry Lately, I’ve been sitting with a reflection from one of my teachers, Asha Nayaswami. She speaks about how it is easy to feel peaceful when life is quiet, but learning how to tend our inner world when things feel unsettled is actually the whole point of the practice. She asks a simple but powerful question: What are you gathering? What we read, listen to, talk about, move through, and surround ourselves with each day all come with us when we interact with others, sit...
