Heads up! A date change & class updates

A little shift

Mark your calendars: we have rescheduled our Saturday, January 31 class to Sunday, February 1. Instead of our usual Saturday gathering, I’d love to invite you to Soulful Sunday: a quiet, grounding way to begin a brand new month together!

Enjoy the same flow of events: yoga at 9:30 am, followed by a sound bath experience with Cherie from 10:30 - 11:30 am. Let us know you can join by clicking the button below:

Spring Creek updates!

Last week at Spring Creek Garden Center we had SO much fun… it was one of those classes where we officially discovered the room’s capacity😄 We now know that we can comfortably fit 35 people on yoga mats in The Gathering Haus! Going forward, registration will be highly encouraged to guarantee your spot.

Because the response has been so strong, I’m excited to share that we’re adding an extra class in February! Join me on Wednesday, February 4 at 5:30 pm for another chance to practice together. Sign yourself up now:

And while you have your calendar out, don’t forget to save the date for Brunch Yoga on Friday, February 20 at 10:30 am. Come for the yoga, stay for The Desert Spoon 😜

READ-y or not, here we come

Winnie’s Book Club meets this Thursday, 1/22, from 12–2 pm at Mammen Family Public Library. I finally finished Something in the Water, and let’s just say… I have questions.

I’m so curious to hear what you thought, what surprised you, and which moments made you want to talk back to the book🙄. Join us for good conversation, shared reactions, and snacks (obviously).

If you’re planning to bring a snack and haven’t signed up yet, you can click here to sign up. See you in the Training Room at Mammen Library!

Thanks, as always, for your flexibility, your enthusiasm, and the way you continue to show up for this community. This time of year always feels like a gentle checkpoint for me, a moment to notice what’s shifting and what’s staying steady. I’m really curious to see what this year has in store.✨

With love,

Monica

P.S. No big life lessons or puppy pics this week… but if you’re craving either, the newsletter archive has you covered. Feel free to binge responsibly🤓

Yesterday in class, I was on this subject and surprised myself with a new term: response–ability. As in, our ability to respond... and that we get to choose how we respond to each sensation. Not from comparison or pressure, but from awareness. This is what we are invited to practice. First, to...

And you’re invited One of my intentions this year is to do more of the things that make me feel really good… on purpose. Not accidentally. Not “if there’s time.” Intentionally. Something that surprised me when I made that list? Singing with other people. Now, to be clear: I have never been in a choir, and the idea of singing alone in front of anyone makes my stomach flip. Which feels important to name, because sometimes the things that make us feel the most alive are also the things that feel...

No tickets required A few months ago, I had a raffle-related moment that lodged a phrase in my brain: must be present to win. It felt playful at first, but it stayed with me. The more time that has passed, the more meaning it has gathered. So naturally, the theme wove its way into our Goodbye 2025 mini-retreat yesterday. We talked about how one of the simplest ways to make even the most ordinary moments feel meaningful is through presence. Being fully here changes the way everything else...
