Come join us 🥰

The invitation is officially open💌

After sharing the Slumber Party Staycation invite with my VIP list, a few familiar faces have already said yes (which makes me ridiculously happy). The gathering is beginning to take shape!

The private rooms have already filled, and the remaining spaces are in the shared bunk room (which honestly carries a little of that adult-camp energy I secretly love).

This gathering is designed to feel easy and nourishing: No travel required. Just showing up as you are.

Think: Yoga on the deck. Creative art-making. Floating sound baths. Nourishing meals. Deep rest. And just enough slumber party magic to remind us how good it feels to simply hang out together.

If that sounds like your kind of reset, click the button below to read the full invitation:

You could also join us this week!

It's time for Happy Hour Yoga at Spring Creek (yes, the rhyme was intentional)!

Come on over this Wednesday, March 4, at 5:30 pm to join an all-levels yoga class at Spring Creek Garden Center. There’s something especially grounding about practicing surrounded by greenery… even indoors. Click the image below to sign up:

If evenings aren’t your thing, our next March class at Spring Creek is Brunch Yoga on Friday, March 20: movement followed by optional brunch at The Desert Spoon. We’ve tested it thoroughly and can confirm… it’s delicious.

Also, a fun little side note: Spring Creek is celebrating their 10-year anniversary this Saturday, March 7. If you’ve never wandered their space outside of yoga, this weekend would be a great excuse. I won’t be there (I’ll be out of town), but with live music and wine machines on happy hour all day, I'd say it's worth popping by (RSVP here).

And one more thing... if you’ve ever thought, “This would be such a beautiful place to host something,” you’re not wrong. The space is available to rent for private events, parties, and gatherings. Check out this link if you’re curious about learning more.

Winnie's Book Club update

Our next Winnie’s Book Club selection is The Seamstress of New Orleans by Diane C. McPhail. We’ll be gathering to discuss it on Thursday, March 26, from 12-2 pm at Mammen Family Public Library.

If you’ve been waiting for a story about fabric, fortitude, and fresh starts… this is the one for you.

As always, you’re welcome to join us whether you’ve read every page, skimmed a few chapters, or just want to come for thoughtful conversation (and snacks, obviously).

A couple of time-related reminders

There will be no Monday class on March 9, so please mark your calendars.

And don’t forget: daylight saving time begins this weekend. We spring forward, which means one less hour of sleep but one more hour of evening light. 🙌

And just like that… it’s March.

With love,

Monica

Save the Date for a Hand Crafted Slumber Party✨ I’m thrilled to share that I’m officially in the early planning stages of a Hand Craft Slumber Party–style retreat here in San Antonio. If I’ve piqued your interest, all you need to do for now is: 👉 Save the date: Wednesday, April 29 - Friday,...

I have a few ideas The first: This Friday, 2/20, we’ll be gathering at Spring Creek Garden Center for an all-levels yoga class from 10:30–11:30am, followed by an optional brunch at The Desert Spoon. Registration is highly recommended so I know you’re coming and can hold your spot....

Love, without the candy hearts With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I’ve been thinking about the kind of love that’s quieter. Less about grand gestures and perfect words, and more about small, consistent choices. Historically, Valentine’s Day traces back to ancient Roman festivals honoring fertility, renewal, and the return of spring. Over time, it became associated with romantic love, devotion, and, somewhere along the way... stuffed animals, giant boxes of chocolate, and those mysteriously...
